How to reset a battery?

Steps to proceed to a complete battery reset

By monitoring in real time the usage of UgoWork batteries, we make sure to provide end users and dealers maximum uptime with their equipment. Sometimes, a complete battery reset is required for maintenance or debugging purposes. Follow these steps to reset your UgoWork battery.

Step 1

Secure and park the forklift in a safe location.

Step 2

Shut down the forklift by turning the ignition switch to the OFF position.

Step 3

Wait for the LEDs on the battery to go out completely.
Shut down the battery by turning the ON/OFF button to the OFF position.

Step 4

Turn the battery’s ON/OFF button ON.

Wait for the LEDs on the battery to start blinking.

Step 5

Press the battery’s push button. Wait for the contactor to close (clicking sound) and for the LEDs to stop flashing.

Step 6

Make sure that the battery is ready for operation: 

  • If there is one LED on and flashing: PLUG IN THE BATTERY
  • If the buzzer goes off: PLUG IN THE BATTERY
  • At least one green light is steady on: OK, you can move on to the next step

Step 7

Turn the forklift ignition switch to the ON position.
